Luxoria Lifestyle goes to Istanbul

stories

Luxoria Interior Design in Istanbul.

The Luxoria team has been on the run lately. The last blog post was in Paris, and since then we haven’t spent much time on our home base on the French Riviera. Rather, we have been globetrotting; collecting ideas and soaking up some fantastic design inspirations to bring home and interpret in our own Luxoria projects. As you have seen from some of the photos on our Facebook page, we took a trip to Istanbul.

Istanbul loves design, art and fashion.

During our recent trip to Istanbul we got an insider’s guide to the city, and we would love to share some of our favorite spots with you. Just footsteps from where we stayed in the city we had at our disposal luxury shopping, unique boutiques and charming cafés. Every morning in Istanbul should start at Delicatessen for the best brunch. Delicatessen is designed in a classic French café style with a laid back urban vibe that makes it perfect for watching Istanbul’s fashionistas walk by while sipping on your life giving Turkish style coffee.

Are you energized? Good, because there is a lot to do in Istanbul. Shopping. Antiques. Carpets.

In the same area as Delicatessen you will find some very noteworthy shops. We spent some time looking at antique Christofle art deco vases in Luxuria (hey, nice name!). The pieces were stunning works of art! We also spent quite a bit of time in Fey’s, a vintage and vintage inspired boutique with one of a kind pieces. Also worth noting is the beautiful antique shop A La Turca which has been featured in the Louis Vuitton City guide. The atmosphere is truly magical and delivers that unique feeling of being on the boarder of Europe and Asia with all of its stunning objects from around the world.

Did we mention food yet?

Eating in Istanbul is an experience. The cities culinary traditions and strong sense of design give an everlasting impression. We had the pleasure of attending the opening of Istanbul’s newest restaurant and hot spot, Double. This rooftop restaurant is still a well kept secret of Turkey’s most affluent. The design is clean and contemporary, and features beautifully illuminated and floating bottles at the bar. The most stunning feature however is the open roof and a beautiful late summer night filled with stars and twinkling city lights sprawling for miles.

Follow this experience up with Frankie on the rooftop of the Sofa Hotel. The coolest jazz spot on top of the coolest design hotel in the city.

I could continue forever.
